Burley Foods (www.burleyfoods.com) is an Edina based 30-year supplier of ingredients and chef-designed dishes to local food companies.  Our busy office is a hub of innovation and communication with ingredient suppliers and the companies that rely on our team to order and ensure delivery of product in time for production.  We seek a new entry level Customer Service Representative to service our clients and assist with a variety of office responsibilities. Duties include:

Customer Service

- Enter, process, confirm, revise and track orders

- Set up new customers and update information in order entry system

- Handle documentation and information requests and follow up

- Work with customers and internal staff to resolve issues

- Create invoices

 

Office Support

- Prepare office for and greet and assist visitors

- Monitor and order office and kitchen supplies

- Answer and direct incoming phone calls

- Update phone directories and lists

- Coordinate phone and building maintenance issues

- Process mailings

- Print meeting agendas, orders

- Maintain marketing and supplier brochures

- Sales assistance such as sending / tracking samples

 

Qualified candidates will bring 1 - 3 years of prior customer service or office experience and an interest in the food industry.  This position requires high attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, problem solving ability and intermediate computer skills. An AA or bachelor degree is desired, but not required.  We offer competitive annual compensation, bonus opportunity and full benefits.
