"We started working with Red Seat after trying without success to fill a couple of open positions ourselves. They sent us better candidates than we could find on our own, helped with reference checking and testing, and saved us so much time. The best part is that the candidates they helped us hire are a perfect fit for our company. Everyone is happy!"

FAQ

Are you an employment agency or recruiter?

Red Seat is neither. Like employment agencies and recruiters, we help businesses hire people. But unlike agencies and recruiters, Red Seat's hiring experts partner with the hiring company, fulfilling some of the same roles that an in-house human resources professional might. We take care of every stage of the hiring process, from generating and vetting candidates to conducting assessments and completing background checks. Some recruiters are often thought of being concerned only with filling a vacancy quickly. Red Seat is different, because we're dedicated to helping our clients hire the best possible candidate for the job.

What about pricing and fees?

This is another way we differ from employment agencies and recruiters. Red Seat's fee is 15% of anticipated compensation for all positions. Yes, our fees are competitive! We split our fee into two parts - a 10% retainer at the time we start on a project, and the remaining 5% is paid when a new employee starts. Contact us for a comprehensive list of services included in our fee structure and our available 180-day performance guarantee.

What kind of businesses do you work for?

Red Seat typically works for small to medium-sized companies that do not employ a full-time human resources professional. We work closely with our clients to ensure that the candidates we find will be a good fit for their businesses. Our personalized hiring process saves our clients time and money, keeps them in control of the outcome, and enables them to make an excellent hire. Check out our  case studies to learn more about some of the specific positions we've filled.

What sort of positions do you hire for?

Red Seat helps our clients hire for all kinds of positions, from entry-level professionals to senior management. Read our case studies for some specific examples of the positions we've filled, or contact us to learn more about our capabilities. Examples of common positions we work on include:  administrative, accounting, customer service, engineering, financial planning, marketing, operations, project management and sales.

Can I just apply to the company directly?

Sure, you could do that, but our clients have paid us to receive resumes on their behalf. We recommend that you send resumes to us, via the email address listed in the advertisement that interests you. We do realize that some recruiters are notorious for treating candidates unfairly, and we understand why you might be wary of them. But Red Seat is different. Our clients have entrusted their hiring process to us, and we're serious about making sure candidates are treated right. We can't promise you'll get an interview - those are reserved for the candidates whose qualifications best meet our clients' requirements. But we can promise that we'll give every candidate's resume thoughtful, thorough consideration.

How will I know if you received my resume'?

We electronically confirm receipt of every resume we receive, typically within two business days. If you haven't received confirmation within that time period, feel free to contact us or to re-send your information. We know job searching can be nerve-wracking, and we appreciate your patience at every stage of the process. If you do have any questions about the position or the application process, we're happy to answer them for you.

What format should I send my resume in?

Please send resumes as Microsoft Word files and please do not attach anything other than the resume. You can copy and paste your cover letter into the text of the email. It is helpful if you mention which position you're applying for, and remember to proofread your resume—spell check is free, but typos could cost you.
